Safety Box – Crime Prevention and Awareness Hub
Background
The Safety Box ® CIC offers accredited programs through AQA, providing a refined system of training and development aimed at helping young people and young adults develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, presentation, high-risk conflict resolution, violence reduction, personal development, and problem-solving.
Objective
The primary objective was to develop a mobile application serving as a community-based platform. This application aims to educate and create awareness among ‘at risk’ youths, former/current youth gang members, and juvenile criminals about the risks of grooming and the consequences of being exploited. The goal was to deliver video-based educational and motivational content, thus serving as a point of contact between The Safety Box and these youths, helping them avoid involvement in crime or exploitation by criminals.
Solution
App Maisters developed a mobile application that provides a platform for delivering video-based messages aimed at educating and motivating ‘at risk’ youths. The app serves as a crucial point of contact, offering resources and content to help these individuals understand the dangers they face and how to steer clear of criminal activities and exploitation.
