Our client is a global technology company providing commerce solutions that power billions of transactions. Clients around the world, including 90 percent of the Fortune 500, rely on the accuracy and precision delivered by Pitney Bowes solutions, analytics, and APIs in the areas of ecommerce fulfillment, shipping and returns; cross-border ecommerce; office mailing and shipping; presort services; and financing.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The client required an Android Application that allow will them to measure employees temperature and print labels for them so the employees can be safely admitted to their warehouses and secure facilities.
The key requirement was to able to be able to print a “PASS” label on a thermal printer if Instascan android devices determines the temperature below a certain threshold.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
App Maisters developed the required Android Application that would silently run in the background on the Instascan device. The Application was integrated with the thermal Printer and was able to print the required label “PASS” with the timestamp. The application was able to catch a call and determine the values of Temperature, if the value of TEMP was below 99.6 F, it successfully executed the printable command and the Thermal printer was able to print the Label. In case the temperature was beyond the required threshold, it would simply not forward the printing command.

RESULTS
The Printing Application on Android device successfully delivered the required solution to the client and they were able to use it through out their facilities to identify employees that had fever.
